I cannot tell you that this is the most comprehensive way to look up dual credit transfers, but it is a start. Please call or e-mail college and universities you are interested in attending and discuss dual credit and the AP test.
The credit library website has changed, but does have contacts if you have questions. Here a link to Transferology that might help: www.transferology.com/index.htm Students have a dual credit option if they are enrolled in AP U.S. History this year. Students will be asked to designate if they are enrolling in the dual credit option through Ivy Tech or in the AP program through the College Board. There are benefits to both programs. I would encourage parents to discuss these options with the student.
The enrollment criteria for the dual credit program include the following cut scores: COURSE CUT SCORES Writing Reading HIST 101/102 ACT 17 18 SAT 460 460 PSAT 46 46 We will discuss the options in class. Please let me know if you have any questions. I would encourage you to explore: http://www.transferin.net/High-School-Students/Dual-Credit.aspx You will be able to see how credits will transfer from the Ivy Tech program. Remember, state colleges and universities in Indiana must accept a score of three of better on the AP test that you will take in May. That score will usually equate to a three hour course at a university. You should call any college/university you are interested in attending and see what requirements they have for the AP test. |
